RHS officials have increased security at the world famous Chelsea Flower Show following the bomb attack in Manchester on Monday evening, leaving 22 dead and many more injured.
On Tuesday Prime Minister Theresa May raised the UK terror threat to its highest possible level, that of ‘critical’ – meaning an attack is expected imminently.
From this morning all visitors to Chelsea Flower Show were having their bags checked as they entered the show.
@seanjcameron We have a very robust security presence, and an appropriate policing plan is in place. I will also feedback your comments to our ops team.

If you are attending the show, please allow extra time for the security team to do their job, the less bags you take the quicker you’ll get into the show.
